Lowercase Noises – Marshall

There is a lot of dreamy instrumental music out there. A lot of it is cookie-cutter, bland, and uninspired. THIS IS NOT LIKE THAT. Lowercase Noises is the musical venture of a guy named Andy Othling, who’s self-proclaimed goal is to “play as slow as possible”. I discovered Andy’s music through youtube, where he has countless videos of himself playing and looping these beautiful, reverb-drenched songs on guitar. You really should take the time to watch the video below, and to see the rest of what he has to offer on his youtube channel.

“Marshall” is a release that is dedicated to Andy’s son by that name. The music is the very definition of the word peace. If you want to relax, you need to turn the rest of your busy life down and play this music. It may seem a little new-agey, but look past that and just appreciate the awesome sound. There’s no shortage of music in Andy’s discography, so look for more features on here.

  1. I’m writing a song to this (non-profit of course). It’s beautiful!

  2. This is simply wonderful. Would I be able to use it in a youtube video? Full credit to you of course with full links to the bandcamp page. Regardless, stumbling upon this has made my night 🙂
