Hope & Social – Sleep Sound

I had the pleasure of listening to this album in its entirety on my way to work one day this week, and I didn’t want to turn it off. This music is fun and entertaining to the max. There are traces of reggae, pop, honkey-tonk, and rock’n’roll, with some varying instrumentation. There is piano, a horn section, strings, and even a gospel choir. I’m impressed by how good the songs are, and by the overall sonic cohesion throughout the album. Hope & Social is well worth the listen, so enjoy it.

  1. Wow, they produce some stellar sounds. A very ‘big’ sound. Love that.

  2. I’m not too sure what to think of this album. I’m going to download and give it a few spins on my iPod before I say for sure what to think of it. Back to the Green sticks out the most to me so far.
